I wrote an article asking the question should men care about women equal pay? The article emphasized the importance of women equal pay and the affects on their family lives.
However, women are not concerned about society leveling the playing field; they are taking charge of their own destiny.
The need for a more satisfying life is one reason for the shift in breadwinners.
Women are using education to gain equal pay and more.
Glass ceiling defined:
The glass ceiling symbolizes the discrepancy in pay between men and women.
Educational Imbalances:
USA Today wrote an article outlining the shift between college applicants. The article states that since the 1980?s females applicants have outpaced males applicants.
The economy has not affected the women's ambition.
The economy is another reason for the role changes.
I found this news very encouraging.
I advocate females educating themselves to change their lives and potentially their family's life.
The most encouraging part of the article was the women are young, childless, and single.
Some women are choosing higher education before other life events.
Some women choose to get married and have children first which is admirable.
A woman can choose her route in life.
