Five Tricks for Sexier Legs

With summer on its way, it's no wonder that most of us girls are fretting over the state of our legs: pasty and pale from being hidden under layers of winter garments, they're not exactly our most prized feature at the moment.

Even if you are one of those relentless few that have religiously buffed and bronzed yourself to maintain that overall healthy glow, you may still be in need of a little push when it comes to stuffing your opaque black tights in the back of your drawer.

To help you with your transition from your winter to summer wardrobe, we've devised a list of five tricks for sexier legs, all with one factor in common: high heels! High heels not only make your legs look sexier but they make you feel sexier too. Not a fan of the sky scraper? It doesn't matter; with so many different colours, textures, shapes and styles out there, whatever your personal style, there is plenty of heeled goodness to choose from.

1. Go nude

The oldest trick in the book. Favoured most recently by the Royal Duchess herself, women's high heels have seen a massive comeback of late. With various shades of taupe, tan and beige to choose from, the nude heel gives the illusion of a barely there shoe, elongating your legs and thus adding sex appeal.

For something comfy and chic, try a chunky nude heel with thick strap from Moda in Pelle. Wear them with a floaty summer dress to add edge to the outfit, or if you're going for a smart-casual look, team them with a biker jacket and some skinny-jeans.

2. The sophisticated secretary

A great trick for creating super chic office-wear, the classic court shoe oozes class and sophistication. With a low slung heel, court shoes are a timeless classic and can be worn comfortably in any office without fear of ever appearing overdone.

Look for designs which add a contemporary twist to the classic look by creating two-tone high heels in varying patterns.

3. Wedge-tastic

Wedges are the perfect way to assume understated sexiness. Less obvious than women's high heels you see strutting around clubs and bars, the wedge exudes a more subtle, casual kind of sexy.

This summer the favourite with all the designers is the Espadrille Wedge. Go bohemian and wear your wedges bright with the season's hottest colours like hot pink. Team them with floaty dresses, maxi skirts or capri pants in the daytime and simple black dresses at night.

4. Scarlett fever

Christian Louboutin famously said he selected the colour red because it was "engaging, flirtatious, memorable and the colour of passion", and he's right. That flash of red is incredibly sexy, so make sure you wear it well. If your heels are red keep the rest of your outfit subtle: let your shoes do the talking.

5. The platform

Lastly, the gregarious and height-altering platform never fails to ooze sexiness. For sexier legs, these shoes cannot be beaten so make sure you invest in a pair. Always consider the height of the heel and the type of fastening used to make sure you can walk in them comfortably.
